Congratulations Petals Class

We had an amazing End of Year party with our families, friends and teachers. We have so much to feel proud of and thankful for. We want to thank our mums, dads, helpers, and other family

members for all they did for us during this past school year; preparing our bags with everything for school each day, making our lunch and snacks so that we could enjoy our meals, dropping us off and picking us up from school, encouraging us to do after school classes so that we could have more fun while learning, taking care of our needs emotionally, loving us each and every day and choosing to send us to

Ohana International School, where children bloom and friendships flourish and the teachers are the best.

Before our actual party we had an impromptu concert and some of us took the microphone and sang all by ourselves. You can see what great singers we are, even if you cannot hear us. There is no doubt that our year in Petals Class was great and we cannot thank our teachers enough for all they did for us. They were patient and

caring, loving and fun, sometimes setting boundaries if we needed them and all the time, only wanting the best for us. This is how we think teachers should be. We want to say “goodbye and sayonara” to William B who is going to live in England, which is the place where his dad comes from and also to Lanah who is returning to live in Singapore with her family. They are leaving Japan and we hope that one day we can meet again. To our other

friends who are leaving Ohana, we know that we will see you again because we all live in the same neighbourhood and we trust that you will come and visit us one day; William L is going to the British School and Manuel is going to Tokyo International School. We are so happy to know that we will still see most of our friends at Ohana even though some of us will be in Flowers Class.

We had a fantastic feast after the party catered by our darling families. Our teachers didn’t say anything to us, but they were amazed that there was nothing unhealthy. In fact, the only unhealthy thing at our snack party was gummy bears

which an old student had given us, from Germany, as a gift. We had maki, cheese and crackers, fruit, yoghurt and fruit, popcorn, sandwiches, sausages, vegetable skewers, vegan cookies (yummmm), crudités and dips, jelly and fruit juice. Our teachers were almost certain that we would not have room for lunch after this huge feast.

Thanks again for a fabulous day, a fabulous year and just all in all a wonderful experience together. We love you; we will miss Petals Class 2014-2015. Happy holidays!Love always Shelley, Hisami and Liezel
