Bye Bye Ayaka :(

Dear Flower Class parents, We had a fun day even though there were just 5 of us attending today. Today was Ayaka’s last day before starting her maternity leave and we will all miss her so very much. Many tears were shed today and we wish her all the best for her baby and the future.

We had also originally planned to have a Bye-Bye party this morning but with so few children attending and another one of our friends also leaving after the spring break we thought it best to have the party on Thursday after the break. This morning there were several things we wanted to do on the table including a ‘traffic jam’ puzzle which is a little difficult but need to think a little harder to complete and also another America jigsaw puzzle. On the second table we also tried an airport puzzle which is a little difficult although we persevered and managed to complete it.

We also started some message flowers for our second friend who is leaving after the spring break and used colored markers and sparkly pens to decorate them. After our yummy snack we headed for the park and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine together.

After we returned from the park Ayaka sat with us and read a book called ‘Spot Loves his mommy’ and we discussed how all our families, parents and friends love us very much.

We then gave Ayaka some big hugs and had a group photo together for her last day. We sat together and sang our ‘goodbye song’ together and included all our friends, teachers and mommies. Please enjoy the spring break and we wish everyone a great holiday and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Have a great afternoon and we look forward to seeing you all again after the spring break.

All our love, Darren, Ayaka, Pooja and Pauline
