Oscar Winning Award

DSCF7503It’s Friday, and that means it’s our last day for our movie star theme. We had so much fun dressing up and posing in front of camera with all our props such as apples for snow white, a guitar for a rock star, and crowns for princesses. When we come in this morning, we saw paper clay and a rolling pin on the table. We rolled the paper clay with the rolling pin, and we had to push down quite hard to get the surface smooth enough to put our hand print on it. Some of us finished making our hand prints yesterday, so we sprayed water on our hand print and sieved silver paint over it to make it nice and shiny, while Riko completed her large puzzle on the floor. DSCF7508DSCF7510It was nice to see our friend looking so proud and confident! Kai being the teacher’s helper today helped us feeding our fish. After all the fish and our friends were full from eating lots of snacks, we decided to rush off to the park to enjoy the nice cloudy weather. It was nice to have some shade in the park, since it has been so sunny and hot all this week. We all loved playing with the bubbles, and had so much fun blowing out the bubbles, chasing after DSCF7517them and also taking turns. It was also nice to share our time with buds class.DSCF7513

When we came back we learned that if you do an excellent job pretending to be someone in the movie, you are able to get a shiny gold trophy. Since we were fabulous pretending to be princesses, Buzz Light-year, or Peter Pan, we decided to make an Oscar trophy for ourselves.

DSCF7521Since it was made out of paper and very fragile, we gently painted tDSCF7527hem with gold paint.

It was little bit tricky to cover the cut out statue with paint, and we had to do them on both sides. Now we have our very own Oscar trophy to show to our daddies and mommies proudly!!!

Have a great weekend, All our love, Maki, Darren, and Bill
