Hanami - Spring picnic in Kinuta Koen

It was a gorgeous day out in Kinuta Koen with our mums, dads, teachers, friends, grandmas and grandpas. The weather was perfect and we were so lucky to still see the beautiful cherry blossoms. Some of the trees that had white cherry IMG_1516blossoms were in full bloom looking like trees with fluffy pompoms on them.

Our time in the park was spent playing games, eating, resting and having photos taken. We played with the bright parachute; we chased flying balloons that looked like rockets; we ran after a huge cube and a huge sphere; we kicked balls; blew bubbles and chased the bubbles and had an awesome time out in the warm sunshine.

We also met Nanako’s son Luka and his grandma who came to join us in the park.IMG_1510

It is always special to have our teachers family’s with us on school excursions and we love meeting them and playing with them. We also want to say thanks to our mums who made lovely cakes and sticky rice pudding that they shared with us.

Wishing you all a great weekend and we want to remind everyone that Kerry will be coming to school to take our photos on Tuesday 16th April. We all need to come to school that day so we can have our photos taken individually as well as our class photo. There will be retake days in case anyone is sick and also for siblings.IMG_1525

We are looking forward to more warmer weather next week, welcoming Jackie and Kevan once again to Ohana and the big party that our teachers and parents are having on Thursday 11th April at 7pm.

Love always Shelley, Darren, Nanako, Ayaka, Christine, Goh, Liezel and Sabine.
