A relaxing day…Happy Spring break!

What a glorious Friday! We had fun in the classroom and our teachers were also quite energetic today. We will only stay in the classroom for a half day. It will be our spring break next week and we all have a very calm day. We got a visit from one of the Flowers class’ teachers. Her name is Ayaka. She’s very nice and to us and she always uses her gentle voice. We also felt that she’s very good with children too. It was a great opportunity for us to get to know her more and spend time with her during the day. Her smile was very attractive and we love sitting beside her. Some of the Buds were also trying to figure out the difference between our teacher Sayaka and Ayaka because it sounded almost exactly the same. In our circle time, we sang our hello song. We all welcomed Ayaka with big smiles and we are happy to have here in Buds. Then, we did some finger plays like “one little finger” and “twinkle, twinkle little star”. We loved the songs and especially when we were doing the diamond with our thumb and index finger.

We did some big movement songs like run in place, jump around, walk around the circle, hop around and many more. We got easily tired and so our teachers sang “Are you sleeping?” Most of us can be actors and actresses for they knew how to act and pretend like they were sleeping. And then, we would all say “wake up” and everybody would jump around and dance to the music. It was also a good practice of moving fast and cooling down by moving slow.

After our circle time, Taiga and Yurika went to the art table and started painting on their own trees for our Buds village. Gradually, our village is getting complete. And we can’t wait to see it for the next term. On the other side of the table, Rei, Kaia and Lisa were trying to work on some cards that some teachers prepared for us. The Buds scribbled on them using our markers with different colors.

And the Buds went to the library to read some books. And then our teachers started to read some stories for us too. We listened to the Wheels on the Bus and we also sang the song at the same time. We didn’t go to the park today and so we took our time playing with our lovely toys. Some of us put some costumes on. Rei and Lisa liked to be princesses of Buds and Taiga wore a bandana. And they all looked in the mirror and observe themselves closely. Chloe and Kaia were in the kitchen play area and they were both cooking some food and served it on the table.

Thank you so much for the wonderful day. We will be missing Ohana because of the long break. But of course, it will be a great for us to spend more time with our loved ones.
