Our Mother’s Day Breakfast

Good morning to you all! First, we want to greet a happy mother’s day to all mommies out there. We are all lucky to have you in our life and we simply can’t take this opportunity for granted. After doing our morning jobs today, we simply went to our play area so that we could play with our friends and teachers. We took out some cars and animal toys together with Noah’s ark toys. We noticed that there were plates and cups on the tables. We later understood that our mothers came to join us for our wonderful celebration. Our teachers told them that they have been so dedicated of being a mother and they deserve this kind of special treatment. We gathered around the carpet area while waiting for the other mothers to come. Some of our friends who were not supposed to come on Tuesdays joined us as well so it’s very nice that they could be here with us and got the chance to show their love and affection to their moms. When we were all complete, we began to sing our good morning song and talked about how we felt today. Some of us were shy because of seeing many new faces around. We also listened to Sayaka when she read the story of “I like it when…” We were very glad to do what’s written on the book because our moms tickled us here and there, gave a big and tight hug and lots and lots of kisses. After the story, we danced to the song “Shake our sillies out” and “Head, shoulders, knees and toes”. Then, we all went to our tables and waited for our food.

DSCN9621          Our teachers cooked the sausages and waffles for today. What yummy treats we had! We also had some coffee and tea on our tables and many of our moms requested for more drinks as they enjoyed chatting and getting to know each other better. They introduced themselves one by one and told something about themselves. This is a good start of making a bond in our class especially with the mothers. Daniela, our room mom, invited the other moms to have a coffee time in the future. We just loved the idea and hopefully the schedule will work to make this happen.

As we ended our breakfast, we sang our “thank you” song. We then went to our carpet play area and enjoyed looking at the books and constructing our wooden blocks. Thank you so much, mommies for coming to our mother’s day celebration and it’s always a pleasure having you in our class. You’re always welcome to come and visit if you want to. Thank you so much, Ohana for the great event and see you all again tomorrow! Have a great day!

Lots of love,

All the children from Buds class 2015-2016
