Can You Dig It?

Thursday April 18th: Can you dig it!?

Happy Thursday afternoon!

Today on the front table were the threader puzzles to challenge our fine motor ability! L took a quick lesson from Brandon and soon I and  came by to give it a try! It’s a great exercise for our fingers! P also gave it her best effort while showing her friend Moly how to thread an animal shape! Way to go!

On the back table was our famous play doh ready for molding as ever! I and I shared some together and made some pizza for their new buddy T, T loved to squish and squeeze the clay between his fingers and laughed a lot! He is very funny!

In the playroom the mega blocks were out and ready for us to flex our building skills! D got to work right away and built a huge house! Nearby, M built a car while reading her life book. She really likes the red colored blocks. Y was fascinated by the red curvy road block and connected many different pieces to it! M also had a love for the curvy road block, decorating hers with two flag attachments! These kids are terrific builders!

Pretty soon it was time for us to clean up and have morning circle, where we sang our good morning song and talked about how we dug in the sand yesterday. The teachers told us that we would also make a space in the dirt at step park for some flowers to grow!

After we arrived, we each took a turn sifting and raking grass and twigs with our hand rake and garden shovel with a little assistance from Brandon. Since this month our values are CONSIDERATION and KINDNESS, we learned that planting flowers in our park is a CONSIDERATE way for us to show our community KINDNESS! We’re so excited to plant our flowers into the soil there for all to see!

Have a great evenning!

Love,

Buds friends
