Smile and pose!

Dear Buds mommies and daddies,

It was a wonderful day for all of us. As we entered the room, we saw that some of our friends were all dressed up for our photo re-take day. We’re very glad that today, we’ll be able to take a group photo and some individual photos for our new friends. Early morning, we did our morning jobs and greeted our friends and teachers. We still did the painting activity with the same materials that we used from yesterday. For us, it’s always delightful to feel the texture of these materials because of the sensory learning experience that we’re getting from it. We put some paint on our chopped wood and some stones. Then, we stamped and stamped until we’re able to create more patterns around.

On the other table, we had the sensory toys and we always loved to manipulate these toys. The whiteboard easel was also a very good way of scribbling and making shapes. We used several colors like red, pink, orange, green and black. We just loved to make designs on our teachers were so proud of how our imagination works in the classroom.

We also had our singing time today. Our friends always requested to sing “Let It Go” for four times. Of course, we sang our favorite songs in the classroom and some parents were there too. They happily sang with us and it was nice to know that they were also having a great time singing and dancing with us. Gradually, some of our friends were going upstairs to have their individual photos taken. The rest of us stayed in the classroom until it was time to go upstairs for our group photo.

John played with the piano and Nimo showed us how he plays with the violin. Some of our friends were also very interested in pressing the keys on the piano. The learning experience with music is quite fascinating because we all want to play and sing together. During snack time, some of the moms ate with us and we got some Venezuelan snacks to share today. Surely, they all liked the food.

It was time to go upstairs and Kerry (the photographer) was waiting for us. Maryna, Jen and Goh helped us out to settle on our chairs. We sang “Twinkle, twinkle little star” until we got really quiet and ready to pose. Kerry made a signal and “click” in that instant we got our group photo for Buds class 2016-2017. Thank you so much for this amazing time. Thank you for the parents who really waited just to have our photos taken. Have a great day!

Lots of love,

All the caring children from Buds class 2016-2017
