Our thanksgiving celebration.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was thanksgiving day and we celebrated this special occasion today with our friends and teachers.

We did our morning jobs and finished them before going to our activity tables. We had some sensory toys like tower blocks, curvy abacuses and some puzzles. On the other side, we’re starting to make our own Christmas decorations. Two weeks ago, we made this Christmas tree footprint and today, we put some shredded paper. We then used the glue and pasted these pieces of paper on our Christmas tree.

After that, we went to the carpet area and found the toy cars and colorful balls. We used the special map and moved our cars around. We also got some kitchen toys and cooked some food for everyone. Our friend's family came to our class and they’re here to read us a story about thanksgiving. We all made a circle and sat down. Shanna read the book with a title “The First Thanksgiving”. It talked about the big ship called the Mayflower and it went to an island. The pilgrims got off the boat and found places that they could live in. Here, they also met the native Americans who were there to help them out and made sure that they would live a fruitful life with them. The native Americans helped them to fish, hunt and plow. When they were able to stand on their own feet, they gave thanks to the native Americans who were always there to help and guide them all the time. Hence, they called this time as “thanksgiving”. They had turkey, corn, pumpkin pies and many more. We all stood up and sangWheels on the bus, The Thank You Song and many more. We also played the foam mat game. We listened to the music and danced around them. When the music stopped, we all stood on our mats. Surely, all of us had a fantastic time! The spirit of thanksgiving is not always limited to what happened in history. Thanksgiving is about giving, loving, sharing and appreciating the blessings in life. Our world is full of wonderful people, things and places and being able to live and experience everything around us are some things that we are always thankful for.  Thank you for reading this story and for doing an amazing celebration.

Thanksgiving day wouldn’t be complete without the yummy treats. We had the pumpkin pie, special chocolate pastry, ham and cheese roll, cupcakes and tarts, sausage rolls and egg and potato pies. Everything was just awesome. For our parents, who are always willing to support and give our class so much love and care, THANK YOU!

We went outside and just walked around the neighborhood. We saw the digger and the drilling truck. It was so amazing how it turned around and around. Our friends kept on saying, truck or car the whole time. Have a wonderful weekend!

Lots of love,

All the thankful children from Buds class 2016-2017
